A Coaching Course Like No Other
This course gives you everything you need to integrate the Thinking Environment into your coaching practice. You’ll explore the Spectrum of Independence, discovering where and how Time to Think can deepen your work, offering natural, tangible ways of coaching that feel both grounded and expansive.
After completing the course, you’ll undertake a Practicum under the supervision of Sophie, a Time to Think Faculty member. Upon completion, you’ll become a Time to Think Coach, gaining membership in the Time to Think Collegiate—a global community where you can continue learning, refining, and expanding your practice through faculty-led collegiate meetings.
Making Space for Deep Learning
To get the most from this course, you’ll need to allocate at least 1.5 to 2 hours between Days 3 and 4 for reflection and integration. This time allows you to deepen your understanding, absorb what you’ve learned, and bring richer insights into your practice.
Coaching as a Way of Being
Before you book, I want to share how I see Coaching. Because even though I coach, supervise, and qualify coaches—I don’t see Coaching as something I do.
Coaching, to me, is a way of being.
It’s about listening—not just hearing, but listening in a way that is transformative, generative, and deeply human. It’s about holding space for another’s unfolding, being comfortable with uncertainty, and replacing assumptions with curiosity. It’s a practice of unlearning—of setting aside the conventional approaches to conversation, problem-solving, and achieving outcomes.
This is Coaching that is radically different, radically relational, and radically beautiful.
Thinking Environment Coaching will ask you to reflect on what Coaching truly is—and what legacy you want to leave behind when your sessions come to an end.
“This course is not for the faint hearted – it is demanding regardless of whether or not you decide to complete the practicum because, quite rightly, it challenges you (in a supportive way) to hone your skills in using and embracing the Thinking Environment and it’s Ten components both as a practitioner and coach. However, it is well worth it and throughout you are supported by Sophie who is a skilled, compassionate and highly intelligent teacher who embodies the ten components in all that she does by providing the right environment; managing to meet all of our physical and emotional needs whilst guiding us through the course.
If you are already a coach, as I was, and really want to embody the Time to Think philosophy into your coaching practice, then I would really recommend that you complete the practicum following the course. It provides both rigour and quality assurance for you and your clients in the concepts, theory and practice and Sophie will guide you; both challenging your thinking and encouraging you with respect and equality. If you are not already a coach and want to undertake this course to develop coaching skills, then I can’t think of a better way to embark on what will become a life changing experience. Sophie is a gifted teacher who whose approach exemplifies what Time to Think Coaching is all about. It’s not just a job for her but a way of life and that shows in all she does and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.”
