This is an extraordinary course, with a first class facilitator.
Having been an ardent advocate of Nancy Kline’s work for many years and an active participant in many of Sophie’s regular sessions, I knew Sophie was the best person to facilitate and guide me on my next Time to Think programme. Sophie was kind enough to listen to me explain where I was in my work and my thinking and proposed that I participate in her Thinking Environment® Thinking Partnership Course, which I completed in July 2023.
Sophie her presence and her previous generosity in sharing the Time to Think components was the primary reason I travelled for about four hours to participate in the course.
I would recommend it one hundred per cent.
With one proviso that you come willing and prepared to be challenged by speaking and listening uninterrupted for up to 45 minutes. Having said that, Sophie is skilled and proficient at taking you mindfully on this journey. We started with 5 minutes each and build up, so it is much less daunting.
The course has been extremely helpful to me personally, in my relationships and my work. I have been able to practice the Thinking Partnership many times, and each time it has been profound. Each of us has arrived at our conclusions without any specific input from our Thinking Partner. This does not mean that the Thinking Partner is inactive and is just sitting there, far from it; their presence, their intention, their desire for you to think, their wondering/curiosity/interest in where you may take your thinking all support your thinking. In addition, because of their attention, you can’t ‘hold that thought’ and go and attend to something else, like an email or anything…you really get to think.
There were many ‘best’ things about the course: the location, Edale, wow, the ease, the space and time to think, the food, the thinking, and so much more. What I liked best was that I was able to think for myself and reach my conclusions, and this has given me much more confidence in my thinking.
This is an extraordinary course with a first-class facilitator. And there is so much ease, both in the content and with Sophie. Sophie deeply understands the Time to Think environment and practices, and she truly and deeply embodies them. One hundred per cent, Sophie walks her talk. She is a human being, like all of us; she is a wife and a mother; she has been a successful leader in business and now runs a flourishing business of her own. Therefore, she is well placed to sit with anyone, to understand their issues and challenges, personally and in business, and to enable them to think better and how to join the dots together.
Finally, “And what more?” that wonderful question - ” Learn about Time to Think with Sophie Stephenson, you will not be disappointed, you will be inspired.”
