About the Time to Think Coaching Course

This course, delivered over four days, will give you everything you need to take this process into your coaching practice. It introduces the 'Spectrum of Independence', exploring how and where Time to Think can enhance your coaching practice, giving you natural, tangible ways of working to take with you.

After completing the course, you’ll undertake the Practicum work, supervised by Sophie, as a Time To Think Faculty member. Once completed, you’ll be welcomed into the Time To Think Collegiate, qualified as a Time To Think Coach, and eligible to join collegiate meetings run by the global faculty.

We will spend three days together immersed in a Thinking Environment in beautiful retreat-like surroundings. To save you travelling, we will then have our 4th day online.

Before you book, I wanted to share a little of how I see Coaching because even though I coach, supervise and qualify coaches, I don’t see Coaching as something I ‘do’.

Instead, for me, Coaching is a way of being.

It’s a way of being that involves listening to another person in a powerful, transformative, generative way. It’s a way of being grounded in uncertainty, questions and curiosity. A way of being that requires unlearning (or at least putting on hold) most of what we’ve conventionally learned about conversations, helping others, problem-solving, and achieving outcomes.

It’s radically different, radically relational, and radically beautiful.

Thinking Environment Coaching will ask you to consider what Coaching is and what legacy you want to leave behind once your sessions end.

This course is not for the faint hearted – it is demanding regardless of whether or not you decide to complete the practicum because, quite rightly, it challenges you (in a supportive way) to hone your skills in using and embracing the Thinking Environment and it’s Ten components both as a practitioner and coach. However, it is well worth it and throughout you are supported by Sophie who is a skilled, compassionate and highly intelligent teacher who embodies the ten components in all that she does by providing the right environment; managing to meet all of our physical and emotional needs whilst guiding us through the course.

If you are already a coach, as I was, and really want to embody the Time to Think philosophy into your coaching practice, then I would really recommend that you complete the practicum following the course. It provides both rigour and quality assurance for you and your clients in the concepts, theory and practice and Sophie will guide you; both challenging your thinking and encouraging you with respect and equality. If you are not already a coach and want to undertake this course to develop coaching skills, then I can’t think of a better way to embark on what will become a life changing experience. Sophie is a gifted teacher who whose approach exemplifies what Time to Think Coaching is all about. It’s not just a job for her but a way of life and that shows in all she does and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.
